Main purpose of Mission
Statement: To support veterans in all aspects especially in obtaining
mental and physical health needs.
Meetings: Third Monday
of each month (Sept through May).
Projects or events this
organization coordinates or sponsors: Legion Turkey Night (mid Nov);
support the Legion Traveling Baseball Team; host an annual baseball tournament;
participate in annual Memorial Day Program and local parades; celebrate the
annual Legion Birthday Party (Mar.); sponsor the Boys State program and Gov’t
Day in Pierre; and work with the Veterans Administration as needed.

Statement: To support and promote veteran activities through the American
Legion.

Statement: To provide assistance to veterans and their families and to see
that our deceased veterans receive proper honors at their funeral services.

neighbors in the Kidder area—no set annual dates.

Statement: We provide financial help and gifts to the various VA hospitals
and homes in South Dakota and also provide help and information to veteran
families.

organization coordinates or sponsors: Assist the Kidder Legion projects however
and whenever possible.

Main purpose or Mission
Statement: Organization of veterans promoting the well-being of veterans as
well as many community service projects.

Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
Projects or events this
organization coordinates or sponsors: Teener Baseball Tournament; Voice of
Democracy Contest; Annual Turkey Night (1st week in December); donate
annually to the baseball programs in the surrounding communities; and sponsor
the street dance for Harvest Days.
