Britton is fortunate to have a healthcare center that includes a twenty bed hospital with acute inpatient services, emergency services as well as many outpatient programs.  They have just completed an 8400 sq. ft addition which enhances the outpatient programs and services including physical therapy, cardiac and orthopedic rehabilitation, and a wellness/fitness center for the community to use—construction is planned to begin in the Fall of 2003.  The county provides a 24 hour emergency ambulance service which compliments the 24 hour emergency room service.
